Christenings Children's Entertainment
Looking for Children's Entertainment for Christenings, you need someone with ample material to suit all 'possibilities' and you ARE certainly in the right place .
Why do you need someone who is flexible?
At a children's birthday party, there are usually 20 plus children - all in the same age bracket, so entertainers know where they stand and what type of entertainment to do.
At Christenings the age range is rarely consistent, quite often not too many children and they are usually dressed in more formal wear, which can also put children in a different mindset.
I ask for an idea of how many children between 3yrs & 4yrs, 5yrs & 9yrs are expected and how many 10yr/11yr olds might attend.
10yr olds and overs entertainment depend on the individuals who attend and who they are with. They do not usually have a lot in common with the 3yrs - 8yrs age bracket, so somethings might not work with the age group.
I have a lot of material and I know no-one else in the Northeast goes to this length.
For most Christenings, you need a children's entertainer who is experienced and versatile and someone who can adapt.
If want something for everyone to join in or watch, I suggest The Happy Hour (below) and then if want longer have off stage entertainment - like Balloon Modeling or Garden Games - something so your guests can chat in peace. I can also provide Background Disco Music and Disco Lights, the music is not too loud - so your guests can chat and the kids can boogie.
Below are some of the packages I offer, in detail - from 45minutes up to 3 hours - I find a maximum of 3 hours is more than fine.

THE HAPPY HOUR

The entertainment in this clip is the one hour mixed package with Party Games, Comedy Magic Show
This is the most booked one hour package, as you can see if there are a lot of children and they all stay for that hour. It is tailored to suit the age range, so if there are more older age - i tend to do more fun competitions for the over 10s
THE TWO HOUR PACKAGE - small group of children
Here is a short clip of a Christening in November 2014, i deliberately put a clip of a 2hour christening with less than 10 children so you can see the variety of entertainment and how they interact
The entertainment in this clip is the two hour mixed package with Party Games, Comedy Magic Show, Balloon Modelling, Giant Garden Games, Magic Workshop and finishing off with the children performing around the tables
This is the most booked two hour package, as you can see not many children here but can also see how this package has the flexibility and verstaility to entertain a group of children of mixed age group for two hours

Many entertainers have one show they perform, for Christenings I offer a much wider range of both Children & Family Comedy Fun Magic Shows, simply because Christening audiences differ at every Christening

The Shows are designed to suit the audience on the day. I offer Toddlers, 5yrs to 9yrs, 10yrs and overs and Family Shows - all shows are specially designed, funny interactive shows and have been performed nationally thousands of times. For more info in the shows click here
It all depends on what the 'majority' children's age group is. For example, if there are 8 children mixed age range between 3yrs and 11yrs - then family show is best ... if there are 10 plus children between 4yrs and 9yrs, then children's magic show is best.
Versatility and flexibility is what you need from an entertainer and this is exactly what you get if you hire me.
I always take enough ideas and decide on the day which show I think will work best.

The Great Kids Games Party type Package is an hour of Games. Again, i decide on the day - but usually a mixture of:
Tradional Party Games: Musical type games like Pass the Parcel
Game for a Giggle: Holiday Park Style Gameshows
Garden Games: like Giant Jenga, Connect 4, Blindfolded Game
I provide a mixture of all above to suit what the age range may be on the day. This package is ideal for 60minutes.
The
Happy
Hour
This is a mixture of the above Show Package and Great Games.
Ideal if you require 60 minutes /90minutes. Although I can do 90 minutes, I always suggest 60 minutes is best. This package is mainly ideal if 3yrs old and 9yrs old.
The christening, on right photo, only had 8 children and had booked this package and hired a bouncy castle - I worked the package using the Castle
The first 30 minutes is usually games with the second 30 minutes is the show, but I always tailor to suit what I think is best on the day, so this package is flexible.

For Christenings, If you expect a lot of children, disco with games or a show is a good idea - if the venue has room, I always suggest a Show or The Happy Hour (above) for the first hour before the food then follow the below.
Many ask for music/disco - but having entertained for thousands of christenings, disco is something that should be background. So music doesn't intrude on people chatting but loud enough for kids to have a boogie
I offer the disco free addition if the 2hour or 3 hour package has been booked, but is pre-programmed music and plays for the time I have been hired.

The Ollie Show is something no other local children entertainer offers for children functions. Ollie is a 6ft 2" Bright Pinky Orange Orangutan.
A REAL Character Fun Variety Show that children of all ages really love. Kids just LOVE Ollie. Ollie can be part of any other package.

He is the perfect character for Christenings if you anticipate more the 15 children between 3yr old and 9yr old. Ollie requires a private change room
The show is a mixture of Singalongs, Ollie's Workout, Funny Magic, Ollie's Game and at the end a photo with Ollie.

Balloon Modeling
Magic Workshops
For people who require more quieter off-stage entertainment, Balloon Modeling and Magic Workshops are ideal and very popular, ideal for smaller venues as well.
You can combine the packages as well and once again, I am flexible and can take both with me and decide on the day
Balloon Modeling: I make a range of basic balloon models like swords, flowers, dogs, birds, hats, guns, parrots, bugs and a few others that are ideal for all age ranges.
Magic Workshops: basically i teach the children some GREAT trickery.
This is ideal for older children, say 6yrs and upwards. I can have the children sat with me on the floor or at a table and teach them so great tricks using everyday objects ... like Cards, Straws, Dice, Crayons, Hair Bobbles
The length of time booked would depend on how many children you expect, but again I am flexible and will often carry some extra ideas

He can be mixed with any of the above packages, or hand out presents/gifts, have photos taken, walk around tables - basically what best suits your requirements
Mr Santa Claus is a great father christmas character for all those festive Occasions. As you would expect of any global celebrity - he does require a private change area
